Dr. Danielle Ries is a native of Algona, Iowa. As an undergraduate she attended University of Iowa and earned a degree in Integrative Physiology. She pursued her dream of becoming an optometrist by obtaining her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Indiana University in 2010. Upon graduation Dr. Ries filled in around the Spencer area before learning about an opening for an optometrist in Spirit Lake. After three years of practicing there and getting to know the community, she is excited to welcome you to her very own practice in Milford! Please stop in for some coffee, hot chocolate, or just to say hi. Dr. Ries is passionate about all her patients' needs and strives to help them obtain their best eye health and vision through tailoring the exam to each individual.
Dr. Ries is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, and Gold Key Honor Society. In addition, she is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Spencer.
Outside of her practice Dr. Ries enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and three daughters, Madison, Ava, and Allison. She also enjoys biking, reading, and the Hawkeyes.
Aaron joined the Ries Eyecare Team in October 2015 as an Optometric Techician. He is originally from Indianola, Iowa and currently resides in Milford. Aaron joins Ries Eyecare with a background in Emergency Medical Services and Firefighting. He is also certified through the American Heart Association as an instructor to teach CPR, BLS, and AED. Aaron enjoys working closely with patients and is compassionate about their health and care.
Outside of work Aaron volunteers as a Firefighter and Chief Medical Officer. Aaron enjoys the Hawkeyes, and flying in his hot air balloon. Aaron has two girls Chloe and Lydia.
Ashley is the newest member of the Ries Eyecare team. She is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and has over 8 years experience in the eye-care and management field. She is excited to learn the clinical side of the eye.
When Ashley isn't working you can find her hunting for treasures at local antique shops, collecting sunglasses and enjoying the great outdoors.
